Welcome to Regina Hindu Temple

The Hindu Samaj of Southern Saskatchewan Inc. was established on June 15, 1987, with the aim of serving as a central hub for the Hindu community in the region. The Hindu Temple officially opened its doors to the public on September 13, 1990. As a non-profit religious organization, its primary objectives are to provide a space for worship, offer classes in Yoga, facilitate the observance of Hindu rituals, and promote spiritual growth. This site provides you information about the Temple and its activities.

Temple Usage

Temple along with the kitchen is available for rent for personal or community religious events. Please reach out to the usage coordinator for details.

Vidyalaya

Classes for Hindu Vidyalaya are conducted every Sunday from 10:30am to 11:30am. Children from Pre-K to Grade 12 are encouraged to  enroll.

Prasadam

Prasadam is served every Sunday after morning satsang and on special occasions. To sponsor please reach out to prasadam coordinators.

Bereavement Support

The Bereavement Committee supports Hindu families in making funeral and cremation arrangements, organizing a shanti paath, and any other support appropriate

Religious Events

Maha Shivratri, Holi, Ram Navmi, Rath Yatra,  Janmashtami, Dussera, Diwali are some of the main festivals celebrated.

Pooja / Yajña/ Havan 

Poojas, Yajña,  havan etc. for the devotees are performed regularly. Havan is organized on last Sunday of every month from 09:30am to 11:00am.
